The CrossFit Open is Here!

You are invited to ZOOM into The Open at CrossFit Petram next Friday! This is the kickoff of our in-house battle!

21.1 = ZOOM into The Open!

Note: this is an in-person event!

To earn points make sure you look good for a Zoom call while also being ready to workout! You can rock whatever attire you'd wear to your work Zoom call, but we are expecting business casual -> dress to impress! As for what isn't on the Zoom screen, you should be ready to WOD -> workout shorts/pants, knee sleeves, lifters, etc. Nobody has to admit if they've done this for work, we don't want to know.

Earn points for your squad by completing the open workout in class and by participating in the theme. Each week there will be bonus points for our top finishers in the 3 divisions (Rx, scaled, foundations). You will earn more points for your team if you are registered for The Open.

Our first theme seems appropriate given the last year or so, I'd imagine most of us have been on a Zoom call or two... or 300. Hopefully you've never gotten stuck as a cat for an important legal zoom battle though. https://youtu.be/lGOofzZOyl8 If you haven't seen that, it's worth a watch!

This is all about having some fun, so if you haven't hopped on a Petram team there is still time! Sign up on the chalkboard. If you want to earn bonus points for your squad take the next step and sign up officially for The Open (open.crossfit.com). I guarantee we are going to make the best out of these next 3 weeks. Spoiler alert, we are doing these workouts on Fridays in the gym so you are going to be doing them anyway....

March 11 kicks off the Open workouts. Here’s what CrossFit Petram has in store:

 

Note: Registration fees go directly to CrossFit HQ and are only required to participate “officially” in the CF Open and view your name on the worldwide leader-board. You can participate in the Petram Open Competition without officially registering, that being said we’d love you to sign up and your team will earn points if you do so!

How The Open works at CrossFit Petram:

The Open is 3 weeks long and starts 3.11.2021. It is anticipated that we will add friday class times to ensure everyone can get the workout in!

Each week during The Open a workout will be announced on Thursday evening for the world of CrossFitters to complete and log their score by the following Monday.

CrossFit Petram will take on the Open workout every Friday in class and then provide additional opportunities as needed on Saturday, Sunday & Monday. We expect a large majority of members to do The Open workouts each Friday in class.
