1/25/26
This year marks 10 years of the CrossFit Open at Petram — and we’re celebrating it the only way we know how: TOGETHER.
A Decade of the Open
For ten years, athletes from different decades of life have stepped onto the same floor, faced the same workouts, and cheered each other on. That’s why this year, our Open teams are built around decades and generations — to honor everyone who makes this CFP community what it is.
Our Open is about Giving Back
For years, this community has done more than work out — we’ve supported veterans, families, animal shelters, and neighbors in need. This Open will continue that tradition, because we don’t just lift weights — we lift our community.
What to Expect
• 3 Weeks of the CrossFit Open
• 3 Weeks of Friday Night Lights
• 3 In-house Teams throwing down for bragging rights
• Points for participation, spirit, and giving back
• Celebrating every decade, every athlete, every win
This isn’t about scores. It’s about showing up, just like you have been doing for 10 years.
Let’s celebrate a decade of the Open the right way.
What Is the CrossFit Open?
The CrossFit Open is a worldwide fitness competition hosted by CrossFit each year. For three weeks, a new workout is released weekly and completed by hundreds of thousands of athletes around the globe.
The Open is designed to be:
Inclusive — workouts are scalable for all levels
Challenging — both physically and mentally
Community-driven — athletes complete the same workouts and support each other worldwide
For many athletes, the Open is their first CrossFit competition. For others, it’s an annual tradition. No matter your experience level, the Open is about testing yourself, showing up, and being part of something bigger than a single workout.
The CrossFit Open at CrossFit Petram
This year marks 10 years of the Open at CrossFit Petram, and we’re celebrating it as a community tradition.
While the CrossFit Open is a global event, our in-house Open is designed to be fun, inclusive, and community-focused. You do not need to register with CrossFit or pay a fee to participate in our gym’s Open.
Here’s how it works at CrossFit Petram:
✅ Free to participate
✅ No CrossFit registration required
✅ All fitness levels welcome
✅ Workouts completed during regular Friday classes or Friday Night Lights (fun party atmosphere with themes)
✅ Everyone is automatically placed on a team
Team Structure
To celebrate A Decade of the Open, teams are based on decades and generations within our community.
Every participating member is assigned a team based on their date of birth
Teams are designed to be balanced, inclusive, and fun
This allows us to celebrate the many generations that make up CrossFit Petram — all competing together on the same floor
You don’t need to sign up for a team — we’ve got that covered.
What This Is (and What It Isn’t)
This is:
✔️ A fun, in-house competition
✔️ A way to stay consistent for three weeks
✔️ A celebration of our gym and community
✔️ A chance to experience the Open together
This is not:
❌ An elite-only competition
❌ About winning workouts
❌ About leaderboard pressure
Why We Do the Open
For ten years, the Open has been the time each year when our community comes together — across ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
Workouts change. People come and go.
But every year, we show up together.
10 Years. 1 Community.
