September Member of the Month!

The month of September always seems to be a time of year where everyone starts getting back into their regular routine before summer started. The BBQ's are over, people may or may not have gained some weight from the drinking and partying, and it feels like it's the right time to get down and dirty with your workouts again (just in time for the holiday season).

The past month has been absolutely dynamite, with new members coming in, old members getting back into the swing of things, and people hitting PR's left and right it seems. But one member has been a staple in the Petram Family, and we'd like to recognize the guy who's number 1 in our hearts, Mark Puican

I first met Mark back in February when I first started at Petram. He's a stellar athlete and is always looking to improve. I know I often write about people who are pushing themselves, so I'm not going to say anything like that today. Sometimes, I think it's best to stop and take a look at everything that our members have done since starting. In the time I've met Mark, he has:

  • Increased his squat and deadlift tremendously
  • Went from strict pull ups to sequential chest to bar kipping pulls up
  • HAS MASTERED TOES TO BAR! Seriously, try keeping up with him
  • Gotten bar muscle ups
  • Competed in his first CrossFit Open
  • Competed a CrossFit competition (RX might I add)
  • Gotten farther than I ever have with hand stand walks
  • and many other things I am sure I am forgetting

Mark is competing in his second competition at the Delaware Affiliate Cup, where many of our members will also be competing. I know him and his team are going to do well, all while managing to marry one of the best people we know! (Can't wait until you come back Trisha!)

So, whether you're looking for sound advice, seeking a workout buddy who you know will push you to your limits, or just want to head over and grab a drink at Grain (his picture is on the wall) know that you can always rely on our September Member of the Month Mark Puican to be there for you!

Thank you Mark for everything you do for our community!
