April Committed Club!

Exhale Winter. Inhale Spring.

Spring brings new beginnings, and strong alignment to my word for 2022, and the guiding theme for our blog this year: rearrangement. With the tremendous growth we’ve seen over this past month with new members, it feels fitting to pause and reground in what this monthly celebration is, and why it matters.

The Committed Club is a way for our community to celebrate the consistency they’ve created in their fitness and health routine by coming to the gym at least 14 times throughout the month. We all know that some days, the hardest part of what we do is just showing up. But we also know that routine and consistency yield results, no matter how big or small. Therefore, we pause. Taking space to celebrate the work we are doing towards becoming healthier, better versions of ourselves matters.

During the month of April, I challenged myself to rearrange the ways I name daily wins for myself after a workout. Oftentimes, we equate “doing well” to being the best, lifting the heaviest, or outperforming those around us. But if we are truly leaning into CrossFit with the right frame of mind, the only person in the room that matters is YOU. This past month, I’ve been able to celebrate wins like: consistent barbell cycling, maintaining rep schemes during a workout to keep moving, grabbing PRS as a result of diligent percentage strength work, patience in injury recovery, and some days? Just showing up. Staying committed to the work is one thing; staying committed to continuous improvement is another thing…a deeper thing…an action that could rearrange you. As we step into May and a new month of programming, how can you challenge yourself to celebrate your little wins after each workout and name where you’ve improved? A big shoutout to our committed club members and coaches listed below. Now, excuse me while I go clap for my fierce self.
