Schedule Changes + House Rules
SCHEDULE CHANGES EFF 3/1
Based on attendance history and feedback in the Facebook group we are going to pilot the following changes in March:
8 AM will go to M, W, F (removing Tues/Thurs due to low attendance)
ADDING 3:30 PM on Wednesday
ADDING 10 AM on Saturday (normal WOD at 7,8,10 with The Weekly Fight remaining at 9).
Note that we are still ironing out schedule for the 3 weeks of The Open but we will add some evening class times for sure. Everyone will have ample opportunities to get The Open workout completed!
HOUSE RULES
We have this poster in the back of the gym and we’ve been focusing so much recently on new protocols and compliance with state regulations that I think it’s a good time to re-post / revisit our own House Rules.
I really need everyone’s help, especially when it comes to #6 and #7. There’s been an uptick lately with folks leaving plates on floor, leaving boxes wherever they were using them and barbells being dropped and 10# plates getting beat up. So let’s collectively try to help keep the gym organized and our equipment in good shape… here are a few reminders:
Barbells should never be dropped from OH when the weight of the barbell is greater than the weight on the bar. Meaning if you have a 35# or a 45# bar and only a 10# plate on each side -> you should not drop the bar, b/c the bar is heavier than the plates and will cause damage to the plates. Also, please never drop an empty barbell or a barbell with metal plates.
Please take care of the barbell when you are removing plates too… meaning when sliding off a plate don’t just drop the barbell to the ground. It makes a terrible noise AND it damages the barbell, causing it to spin less. Gently guide the barbell to the ground.
Put equipment back where you found it unless a Coach lets you know it is safe to keep it out for the next class. Make sure plates are put back on the appropriate rack. To avoid chaos we’ve removed the pins on each squat rack, so all plates should go on the plate trees in the center of the gym.
Never spray or wipe off the rower or bike screens -> spraying them directly will ruin them. If you wish just use a damp towel to only wipe down the buttons.
